moment of glory

light and sublime

dream

lasts forever

in champion’s eye

 

born of brave boyhood

grown by male pride

seized in a struggle  

owned by a man

 

moment of glory

once born and raised

is young forever

in champion’s eyes

 

shall live

still young

in time and space

and

die

but with

the human race
